PROPERTIES
REFINED PYRETHRUM CONCENTRATE is a solution of Pyrethrum extract in a suitable solvent. Pyrethrum extract features both a rapid knock-down and killing effect and is suitable for controlling flying and crawling insects.
Because of its low toxicity and low residuality, pyrethrum extract can be used in critical areas such as commercial kitchens, hospitals or schools.
The knock-down and killing efficacy of pyrethrins on target species are strongly enhanced when synergized with Piperonyl Butoxide.
Pyrethrum is extracted from chrysanthemum flowers (Chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium).

APPLICATIONS
Pyrethrum extract has excellent knock-down and killing properties against a broad spectrum of flying and crawling insects.
When synergized with Piperonyl Butoxide, both the knock-down and killing effects of the six pyrethrins are improved, while the recovery of insects is reduced or even eliminated, resulting in a cost/performance improvement.
In biocidal applications pyrethrum extract is largely used in aerosols, liquid concentrates (emulsifiable concentrates, macro and micro-emulsions) and corresponding RTUs, but also in vaporizers such as coils and mats.
The use of pyrethrum extract is also popular in crop protection where it is mainly formulated in the form of liquid concentrates.
COMPATIBILITY, STABILITY,
STORAGE AND HANDLING
REFINED PYRETHRUM CONCENTRATE is compatible with most of the actives, solvents and co-formulants normally used in the manufacturing of insecticidal products, including Piperonyl Butoxide which exhibits an excellent solvency power towards pyrethrins.
REFINED PYRETHRUM CONCENTRATE is easily degraded by exposure to light and air. When kept in the original sealed drums and properly stored,
REFINED PYRETHRUM CONCENTRATE has a shelf life of at least 2 years from the manufacturing date. For prescribed handling, storage conditions, disposal and transport information, refer to the relevant Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
