BENEFITS

  • Broad spectrum of activity against household and public hygiene insects
  • Quick knock-down effect, particularly on mosquitoes and cockroaches
  • Efficiently controls insect population in treated area
  • Strong flushing-out effect
  • Easy photo-degradability (low residuality)
  • Excellently synergized by Piperonyl Butoxide

PROPERTIES

PRALLETHRIN is a photolabile synthetic pyrethroid exhibiting mainly a knock-down effect, especially on mosquitoes.

PRALLETHRIN is recommended in a variety of household and public health applications.

Thanks to its excellent heat-stability properties against different species of mosquitoes, PRALLETHRIN can be used in continuous acting flying insect killer formulations (CAFIKs) such as Liquid Vaporizers (LV), mats and coils as well as in aerosols and liquid concentrates. Depending on the final application, PRALLETHRIN is around 4-5 times more effective than d-Allethrin.
As for other synthetic pyrethroids, the efficacy of PRALLETHRIN is strongly enhanced when combined with Piperonyl Butoxide which, thanks to its unique mode of action, excellently synergizes PRALLETHRIN in a number of applications.

Appearance

Yellow to brown transparent
viscous liquid.

Solubility

Soluble in all common organic solvents.
Negligible solubility in water.

APPLICATIONS

PRALLETHRIN is an excellent knock-down pyrethroid suitable for applications against flying and crawling insects, particularly mosquitoes and cockroaches.

When PRALLETHRIN is synergized with Piperonyl Butoxide, its killing power is increased, while the recovery ability of insects is reduced or even eliminated, resulting in highly cost-effective formulations.
The most recommended uses of PRALLETHRIN are in coils, mats, liquid emanator devices, aerosols, liquid concentrates (emulsifiable concentrates, macro-and micro-emulsions) and corresponding RTUs.

COMPATIBILITY, STABILITY,
STORAGE AND HANDLING

PRALLETHRIN is compatible with most of the actives, solvents and co-formulants normally used in the manufacturing of insecticidal products, including Piperonyl Butoxide which also exhibits an excellent solvency power towards pyrethroids.

PRALLETHRIN is sensitive to alkalis and strong acids, which rapidly hydrolyse the substance.

PRALLETHRIN is also degraded by exposure to light and air.
When kept in the original sealed drums and properly stored, PRALLETHRIN has a shelf life of at least 3 years from the manufacturing date. For prescribed handling, storage conditions, disposal and transport information, refer to the relevant Safety Data Sheet (SDS).

PACKAGING

PRALLETHRIN is supplied in internally epoxy-phenolic lacquered UN approved steel drums, type 1A1

Standard packaging sizes (net weight): 20 kg

Packaging labelling complies with international provisions
for transportation of dangerous goods. PRALLETHRIN is
labelled also in compliance with applicable European Union legislation
and, upon customer’s specific request or for particular local regulation
requirements, special labels may be applied to the drums.
