IMIPROTHRIN
[2,5-dioxo-3-(prop-2-yn-1-yl)
imidazolidin-1-yl]methyl 2,2-
dimethyl-3-(2-methylprop-1-en1-yl) cyclopropanecarboxylate
Cyclopropanecarboxylic acid, 2,2-dimethyl-3-(2-methyl1-propen-1-yl)-, [2,5-dioxo-3-(2-propyn-1-yl)-1-imidazolidinyl] methyl ester
IMIPROTHRIN MUP (Manufactured Use Product) is a solution of IMIPROTHRIN technical grade in a suitable solvent. The use of the solvent facilitates the handling of technical grade IMIPROTHRIN and is also reported to increase the cuticular penetration of the active substance into the insects’ body.
IMIPROTHRIN is a photolabile synthetic pyrethroid exhibiting mainly a knock-down effect especially on cockroaches.
As for other synthetic pyrethroids, the efficacy of IMIPROTHRIN is strongly enhanced when is combined with Piperonyl Butoxide, in particular in terms of knock-down effect on flies.
Pale to dark yellow transparent
liquid.
Soluble in all common organic solvents.
Negligible solubility in water.
IMIPROTHRIN MUP is compatible with most of the actives, solvents and co-formulants normally used in the manufacturing of insecticidal products, including Piperonyl Butoxide which also exhibits an excellent solvency power towards pyrethroids. IMIPROTHRIN MUP is sensitive to alkalis and strong acids, which rapidly hydrolyse the substance.
IMIPROTHRIN MUP is also degraded by exposure to light and air. When kept in the original sealed drums and properly stored, IMIPROTHRIN MUP has a shelf life of at least 3 years from the manufacturing date.
For prescribed handling, storage conditions, disposal and transport information, refer to the relevant Safety Data Sheet (SDS)
IMIPROTHRIN MUP is supplied in internally epoxy-phenolic lacquered UN approved steel drums, type 1A1
Standard packaging sizes (net weight): 20 kg
Packaging labelling complies with international provisions
for transportation of dangerous goods. PRALLETHRIN is
labelled also in compliance with applicable European Union legislation
and, upon customer’s specific request or for particular local regulation
requirements, special labels may be applied to the drums.
