Cyclopropanecarboxylic acid, 2,2-dimethyl-3-(2-methyl1-propen-1-yl)-, (3-phenoxyphenyl) methyl ester, (1R)

BENEFITS

  • Broad spectrum of activity against household and public hygiene insects
  • Killing effect
  • Efficiently controls insect population in treated area
  • Easy photo-degradability (low residuality)
  • Excellently synergized by Piperonyl Butoxide
  • Low-mammal toxicity

PROPERTIES

D-PHENOTHRIN is a photolabile synthetic pyrethroid with excellent insecticidal properties, exhibiting a killing effect stronger than that of other photo-labile pyrethroids such as Tetramethrin and Prallethrin.

Thanks to its killing properties and broad spectrum of action, D-PHENOTHRIN is used in both household and public health sectors when a non-residual killing effect is desired.

As for other synthetic pyrethroids, the efficacy of D-PHENOTHRIN is strongly enhanced when combined with Piperonyl Butoxide which, thanks to its unique mode of action, very well synergizes this class of insecticides.

Appearance

Yellow to brown transparent
viscous liquid.

Solubility

Soluble in all common organic solvents.
Negligible solubility in water.

Specifications

Purity 92.0% w/w min.
trans-chrysanthemates  80.0 ± 5.0%
d-chrysanthemates:95.0% min.

APPLICATIONS

D-PHENOTHRIN is an excellent pyrethroid with killing properties suitable for applications against flying and crawling insects.

When synergized with Piperonyl Butoxide, the efficacy of D-PHENOTHRIN is enhanced both in terms of knock-down and killing effect.

D-PHENOTHRIN has a very broad spectrum of action against flying (flies, mosquitoes) and crawling insects (roaches, mites, fleas).
D-PHENOTHRIN is mainly used in water or oil based aerosols, but it also finds applications in professional products such as liquid concentrates (emulsifiable concentrates, macro and micro-emulsions) and corresponding RTUs.

COMPATIBILITY, STABILITY,
STORAGE AND HANDLING

D-PHENOTHRIN is compatible with most of the actives, solvents and co-formulants normally used in the manufacturing of insecticidal products, including Piperonyl Butoxide which also exhibits an excellent solvency power towards pyrethroids.
D-PHENOTHRIN is sensitive to alkalis and strong acids, which rapidly hydrolyse the substance.
D-PHENOTHRIN is also degraded by exposure to light and air.
When kept in the original sealed drums and properly stored, D-PHENOTHRIN has a shelf life of at least 3 years from the manufacturing date. For prescribed handling, storage conditions, disposal and transport information, refer to the relevant Safety Data Sheet (SDS).

PACKAGING
