BENEFITS

  • Broad spectrum of activity against household and public hygiene insects
  • Quick knock-down effect, particularly on mosquitoes
  • Efficiently controls insect population in treated area
  • Flushing-out effect
  • Easy photo-degradability (low residuality)
  • Excellently synergized by Piperonyl Butoxide

PROPERTIES

D-ALLETHRIN is a photolabile synthetic pyrethroid exhibiting mainly a knock-down effect especially on mosquitoes, and is recommended in a variety of applications.
Thanks to its excellent heat-stability and effectiveness against different species of mosquitoes, D-ALLETHRIN finds its best use in continuous acting flying insect killer formulations (CAFIKs) such as Liquid vaporizers (LVs), mats and coils.
As for other synthetic pyrethroids, the efficacy of D-ALLETHRIN is strongly enhanced when combined with Piperonyl Butoxide which, thanks to its unique mode of action, synergizes excellently D-ALLETHRIN in aerosol and mats applications.

Appearance

Yellow to brown transparent
viscous liquid.

Solubility

Soluble in all common organic solvents.
Negligible solubility in water.

APPLICATIONS

D-ALLETHRIN is an excellent knock-down pyrethroid suitable for applications against flying insects, in particular against mosquitoes.
The most recommended uses of D-ALLETHRIN are in coils, mats and liquid emanator devices, but it can also be used in aerosols and liquid concentrates.

COMPATIBILITY, STABILITY,
STORAGE AND HANDLING

D-ALLETHRIN is compatible with most of the actives, solvents and co-formulants normally used in the manufacturing of insecticidal products, including Piperonyl Butoxide which also exhibits an excellent solvency power towards pyrethroids.

D-ALLETHRIN is sensitive to alkalis and strong acids, which rapidly hydrolyse the substance.

D-ALLETHRIN is also degraded by exposure to light and air. When kept in the original sealed drums and properly stored, D-ALLETHRIN has a shelf life of at least 3 years from the manufacturing date. For prescribed handling, storage conditions, disposal and transport information, refer to the relevant Safety Data Sheet (SDS)

PACKAGING

D-ALLETHRIN is supplied in internally epoxy-phenolic lacquered UN
approved steel drums, type 1A1
