The rodenticidal properties of BROMADIOLONE were described in 70s. It is an anticoagulant that is effective against rats and mice, including warfarin resistant strains. It is used in agriculture and urban rodent control as ready-touse baits of low concentration (usually 0.005% w/w or less). BROMADIOLONE is one of the newer and more potent second-generation anticoagulant rodenticides. BROMADIOLONE differs from the first-generation anticoagulants because it is very potent and only requires a single dose to induce death, if sufficient toxicant is ingested. The target organism doesn’t need multiple ingestions to die, once is usually sufficient, thus reducing the quantity of active ingredient useful to control rat or mice population and also reducing the risk of resistance development.
- BROMADIOLONE is a 4-hydroxycoumarin anticoagulant.
- Optimal solubility and stability in glycolic solvents.
