BENEFITS
- Anticoagulants, such as BRODIFACOUM, impair the production
of vitamin K-dependent coagulation factors by blocking the
enzyme vitamin K 2,3-epoxide reductase, which regenerates
vitamin K. This results in the production of dysfunctional
coagulation factors (Prothrombin, VII, IX, X), leading to
increased vascular permeability, internal hemorrhage, and
eventually death. BRODIFACOUM’s structural similarity to
vitamin K is key to its mechanism. Vitamin K serves as an
effective antidote, but medical advice is essential. - BRODIFACOUM is over 100 times more potent than warfarin on
a molar basis in rats.
PROPERTIES
The rodenticidal properties of BRODIFACOUM were described in 1976. It is an anticoagulant that is effective against rats and mice, including warfarin resistant strains. It is used in agriculture and urban rodent control as ready-touse baits of low concentration (usually 0.005% w/w or less). BRODIFACOUM is one of the newer and more potent secondgeneration anticoagulant rodenticides. BRODIFACOUM differs from the first-generation anticoagulants because it is very potent and only requires a single dose to induce death, if sufficient toxicant is ingested. The target organism doesn’t need multiple ingestions to die, once is usually sufficient, thus reducing the quantity of active ingredient useful to control rat or mice population and also reducing the risk of resistance development. BRODIFACOUM is recommended by Rodenticide Resistance Action Committee (RRAC) for resistance management: control of all anticoagulant-resistant strains (RRAC guidelines on Anticoagulant Rodenticide Resistance Management Date of publication: October 2016).

Format
WIPES: Wipes are packed individually to maintain each wipe homogeneusly wet along the whole shelf-life. The material of wipes is Viscose following the new regulation on single-use plastic products (Directive (EU) 2019/904 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5 June 2019 on the reduction of the impact of certain plastic products on the environment). Once spread on the skin, there remains a thin film that increases the duration of effectiveness of the product.

The delivery of the dispenser is easy due to the characteristics of the creamy lotion, which is perfectly suited for being spread. The lotion is suitable in a classic bottle with spray pump or in an aluminum can with typical aerosol actuator (JET).
ROLL ONLotion is applied in a correct way using the roll-on avoiding eyes and mucous membranes in general. Once spread on the skin, there remains a thin film that increases the duration of effectiveness of the product.
